If you choose to go to court you may be able to get a deferred sentence in which time you can have the citation reduced or removed by attending traffic school, perform community service, or be placed on a 90 day probation period during which you will have to maintain a clean record. Once you comply with the court conditions your ticket will be dismissed. Check your record to see if you have any tickets that may have been deferred by the court but are still showing on your record.
