If you qualify, we are required by law to block and not report that information.
What Information Can Be Blocked?
You may request removal of any adverse information that resulted from human trafficking, including but not limited to:
- Criminal records
- Evictions or housing-related records
- Debt, collections, or financial defaults
- Employment-related records
You determine which items resulted from trafficking.
How to Submit a Request
To request that information be blocked from your report, please submit the following:
1. Proof of Identity
Provide enough information for us to verify your identity. We will apply reasonable and flexible standards.
2. Documentation Showing You Are a Victim of Trafficking
This may include one of the following:
- Documentation from a federal, state, or local government agency
- Court records or orders
- Documentation from an authorized organization or task force
- A signed statement (self-attestation) supported by an authorized entity
3. List of Information to Be Blocked
Provide a list (or description) of the items you believe resulted from trafficking and should not be reported.
4. Preferred Contact Method
Please tell us how you would like us to contact you (mail, email, or through a representative). We will only use this method to communicate with you about your request.
